Spirit day & Giving Tree Success!
Thank you to each and every person who pitched in to help make Spirit Day so much fun!

From the early morning fun with our littlest Blackhawks having hot chocolate and donuts to the evening where our bigger kids enjoyed pizza.
Our rink was hopping on Dec 14th! It was great to see so many fans out to watch some exciting hockey! The visiting teams brought their own spirit and participated in the fun. Our Pee Wee team wore black arm bands and shared an emotional moment, paying respect to Rylan Goldhawk’s Grandfather who recently passed away.
We acknowledged two of our longest standing board members (Scott Campagnion & Lori Guthrie) who spent about a decade contributing to our program, sharing their time and dedication.
We especially appreciated all of the generous donations of non-perishables. Our collection has doubled in size from last year, and we will continue to gather canned goods until January 6th at which time, we will deliver the items to the Inn of the Good Shepherd.
Overall, the day was a huge success!

Our PEMAA “Giving Tree” got a huge boost this year! These adorable elves had a lucrative lemonade stand in May... saved the $160.00 proceeds and purchased 20 jars of peanut butter and 15 boxes of fun flavoured cereal to donate to the Inn of the Good Shepherd! proud of our young Blackhawks who are learning to “give back” to our community!
