Return to Play - 2020\21
Dear Blackhawk Families,
With the recent news regarding the decision by Village Council, we are excited to have a start date for hockey and to begin sharing information around our “return to play” plans.

If you completed our “pre-registration” form and have since decided to register elsewhere, please ensure you have contacted us to let us know you no longer require your roster spot. This includes rep players who have returned to their previous team. You can email[email protected] to communicate changes in registration plans.

We have heard from some participants who have opted to register in Sarnia, Petrolia etc.  We anticipate some changes since pre-registration.  If you would like to withdraw from the program, please let us know no later than Sunday, September 13, 2020 ([email protected]). At that time, we will be preparing a list of open and available spots to be posted on our website/Facebook page.

October 5-November 8th will be the first segment of development programming.  There will be two ice times per week per division to allow for practice ice times and inter-squad play based upon rosters supporting 3 on 3 or 4 on 4 scrimmage/games.  Separate registration fees will be collected for each segment.

At this time, the LMLL is not planning league play or exhibition games between Centres.  We are not allowed to cross public health boundaries.

We realize modified programming (skill development and inter-squad play) may not be what folks expected or hoped for... we understand if anyone wishes to withdraw their participant from pre-registration. It is conceivable we may be limited to modified programming for the foreseeable future.

There is undoubtedly some heavy lifting ahead, we may need to develop a roster of volunteers to assist with attendance tracking and appropriate health screening for each age respective age group.  We know we can count on our fantastic Blackhawk families to support our efforts!

Our first week of ice time begins October 5th! The Village of Point Edward arena ice schedule has been updated to reflect the most current plans.  Times may be subject to change.  The ice schedule can be viewed by clicking the link Arena/Hall - Village of Point EdwardArena Schedule

**Further details regarding registration ie: cost, paperwork required, expectations around the facility reopening plan and PEMAA’s return to play plan to follow in a separate post... we realize there is a lot to take in and will be delivering information with that in mind.
