2024 Soccer registration.
Greetings Soccer
Enthusiasts! We are thrilled to announce we are opening registration for our
2024 Soccer Season. Currently Sponsors, Coaches, and Village Residents can
register in advance from Jan 29 to Feb 4. Open registration for everyone for
our 2024 Soccer Season will start on Feb 5.
Our Soccer program is a
grass roots, recreational co-ed program designed to offer a fun, safe,
inclusive space for players who are just learning to play the game or those who
may prefer a less competitive caliber of play.
The Registration fee is
once again, $125.00. Players will receive a “memory mate” photo, dri-fit soccer
shirt and year end celebration.
*Shin pads are
mandatory, soccer cleats are optional.
We are in dire
need of Coaches in order to make the program viable. No previous Coaching
experience is necessary, a valid criminal reference check with vulnerable
sector screening, solid communication skills, enthusiasm and a sense of humour
are the only requirements! We welcome high school students wishing to earn
Volunteer Hours as Assistant Coaches as well!
**Participants must be 4
or older by September 27, 2024, in order to be insured/registered.
Age Groups/Divisions
will be as follows:
U6 Hot Shots 2019, 2020 -
Monday 5:15pm and 6:15pm (rotating)
U8 Tyke 2017, 2018 - Wednesday
5:15pm and 6:15pm (rotating)
U10 Junior 2014,2015,
2016 – Thursday 5:15pm, 6:15pm and 7:15pm (rotating)
U12 Intermediate 2010,
2011, 2012, 2013 -Tuesday 6:15pm and 7:15pm (rotating)
**U13’s by exception
will be distributed evenly among all Intermediate teams
Special Olympics –
Tuesdays 5:00pm-6:00pm - contact: Special Olympics
The season will run from
May 6 – August 1, 2024
Point Edward residents
who have not previously provided proof of residency will need to provide proof
of residency (copy of driver’s license or utility bill, etc.) in order to
register early.
Sponsorship opportunities
are also available! Sponsorships will be $250.00 and include name/logo (one colour)
on soccer shirts, Memory Mate photo, mention on the website, receipt for
sponsorship and mention at the year-end celebration.
