2024\25 open hockey registration! - Updated Oct 1
Greetings Hockey Families!    Please find below, a current snapshot of our registration numbers. As you will see, there is limited availability in certain age groups while other age groups are full, with a wait list.

For those who might be new to the process, here’s how we arrive at our numbers: Point Edward residents are rostered first, then property owners, returning players (in order of most years of service) and finally… we open registration for out of area registrants interested in remaining roster spots.

If your player is slated to be involved in a lottery to determine a roster spot or their order on the wait list, we will be in touch beforehand, ensuring you have the opportunity to watch the live lottery on Facebook.

If your player is wait listed, we will let you know … movement on the wait list occurs if/when players decide not to play, are unfortunately injured, or are successfully selected for Travel hockey…

Rosters are always a bit fluid until travel tryouts are completely finished.  We completely understand if you choose to register elsewhere to guarantee your spot, in fact, we encourage folks to do so if they are concerned about missing out altogether.

We truly wish we had room for every single player who wants to play in the Point, we are always sad when we have to say goodbye to players and families that move on when numbers are not in their favour.  By U18, some players have 14 years in our Program, so we share your feelings of disappointment and sadness…

We do believe, our current process is the most fair and transparent way to determine eligibility for a rostered spot.

The “-” indicates that there are no spots available for that category. For U9, there’s a lottery to fill the last player spots and to determine the order of the 4 waitlist spots.

Please take the time to review the registration information listed on our website General hockey Information   related to our upcoming 2024-2025 hockey season.
