Soccer registration - Starting Jan 27, 2025
Greetings Soccer Enthusiasts!   We are thrilled to announce we are opening registration for our 2025 Soccer Season.  We will once again be offering soccer this coming Spring. Our Soccer program is a grass roots, recreational co-ed program designed to offer a fun, safe, inclusive space for players who are just learning to play the game or those who prefer a less competitive caliber of play.

This year we have made some adjustments to our programming. First the good news! We are thrilled to be able to welcome 3-year-olds to register! Players must have turned 3 years of age by May 1, 2024. Registration costs for the Mite Division will be discounted to $100.00

However, after much deliberation, we reached the difficult decision to cap our age groups at the Intermediate age. This decision was due to declining registration/participation of our Senior age groups. For this reason, we are no longer able to offer programming for youth older than 11 years of age.

The Registration fee for Hot Shots and above is $125.00. Players will receive a “memory mate” photo, dri-fit soccer shirt and year end pizza treat. Shin guards are mandatory, soccer cleats are optional.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available! The cost is $300 per team or $500 for two teams!

We are in dire need of Coaches in order to make the program viable.  No previous Coaching experience is necessary, a valid Vulnerable Sector Check coupled with solid communication skills, enthusiasm and a sense of humour are the only requirements! We also welcome high school students wishing to earn Volunteer Hours as Assistant Coaches as well!

**Participants must be 3 or older by May 1, 2025, in order to be insured/registered.

Age Groups/Divisions will be as follows:

Note: Special Olympics – Tuesdays 5:00pm-6:00pm - contact: [email protected]

The season will run from May 5 – August 1, 2024

Point Edward Residents, Coaches and Sponsors will have one week priority registration.  Following that week, registration will be open to all registrants.  Point Edward residents who have not previously provided proof of residency will need to provide proof of residency (copy of driver’s license or utility bill, etc.).

Sponsorships will be $300.00 (or two teams for $500) and include name/logo (one colour) on soccer shirts, team photo, mention on the website, receipt for sponsorship and mention at the year-end pizza party.

Please refrain from commenting on our social media posts (we may not see your comment or inquiry). If you require additional information or wish to be contacted by email, the current/correct email for soccer inquiries is [email protected]. Please continue to follow our Facebook page and website for further updates over the next week or so! Thank you in advance. We look forward to seeing everyone at the most beautiful venue to watch soccer, freighters, fireworks and sunsets.... down under the bridge!!
