Banquet Update and Agenda
Hi Everyone! With the banquet drawing nearer…we wanted to share a quick update about the scheduling of the Junior and Senior mealtimes…ticket pricing and general “agenda” for the evening.

We are very excited to be having “live music” this year!  Although this decision was a bit of a splurge, our hope is we will draw a larger crowd who will stay for the dance and enjoy the evening.  Our Silent Auction is once again, shaping up to be impressive!  We are always amazed by the generosity of the community and the creativity with the team baskets.  The proceeds of the Silent Auction will be used to offset the costs associated with the banquet.  Food, entertainment, hall rental, trophy engraving, medals, yearend gifts etc.  We absolutely love coming together to celebrate our season each year and being able to offset some of the cost is crucial to our being able to continue to do so!

Dinner will be:  Giresi’s Pizza, Homemade Ceaser Salad, Garlic Sticks and dessert.  We will have bottled water and soft drinks available as well.  The bar (cash bar – ATM onsite) will be open, and the proceeds of the bar will go toward the Point Edward Optimist Club.  Players and bench staff eat free…adult tickets are $15.00 and children (siblings etc.) under 12 will be $10.00. Team managers are asked to tally up how many adults, players and siblings will be attending and submit in an email (so we can be sure we order the appropriate amount of pizza) tickets can be paid in advance by e-transferring [email protected] but we will need your players name in the comment section.  We will accept payment at the door, if need be, however, payment in advance is preferred.

**If you have a parent or player with a dietary restriction, please contact us asap by emailing [email protected] to convey your needs so they can be appropriately accommodated. In the past, we have ensured dairy, wheat and gluten allergies and restrictions e.g. kosher are taken care of ahead of time.  Please note: we cannot accept “preferences” or special requests for obvious reasons.

Here is the timeline we have outlined:

3:30pm – Doors open for Junior Banquet U9-11

4:00pm – Dinner is served buffet style

4:30pm – Speeches will begin

5:45pm – Junior banquet ends, and we must ensure everyone exits while we reset for the Senior banquet

We would LOVE help cleaning up in between banquets – it is a quick turnaround!

6:15pm – Doors open for Senior Banquet U13-U18

6:30 – Dinner is served buffet style

7:00pm Speeches will begin

8:40pm – clean up and photos

9:00pm evening shifts to a 19 and older event

9pm-1am -BREN the One Man Band will be playing

**silent auction will continue throughout the evening, ending by 11:30pm – if you are the successful bidder and have left for the evening, you will be contacted by text/email to collect your item from a board member and can e-transfer: [email protected]

Coaches – please have your team awards and speeches organized and concise as we have to stick to our schedule outlined above…and it’s a long time for the kids to sit and listen to us boring adults!

We can’t wait to see everyone and celebrate our 2024-2025 season!
